Therapeutic Massage
Focused, individualized work for pain, tension, stress and everyday recovery.
Jake Collier · Registered Massage Therapist
Personalized massage therapy to help you move easier, feel lighter and create change that lasts—within a calm, judgment-free space.
01 · The approach
My style is often described as firm but gentle: precise enough to create meaningful change, responsive enough to listen to your body as we work.
Every session is collaborative, consent-led and adapted to what you need that day. You are welcome exactly as you are in a safe, judgment-free space.

Jake brings a movement-informed background and a deeply attentive approach to every treatment.
Originally from the UK, Jake moved to Canada in 2016. His professional path began in personal training, behaviour change and assisted stretching, giving him an enduring interest in how the body moves, adapts and recovers.
He completed the 2,200-hour Massage Therapy program at First College in Kelowna, graduating in August 2025, and then moved to Edmonton to begin his career as a Registered Massage Therapist. His continuing education includes functional myofascial patterns, IASTM, hot stone therapy, the Eleva Method therapeutic facial, and Pha Khao Ma Thai table massage.
Jake’s work is collaborative rather than prescriptive. He takes time to understand what you are feeling, what you hope to change and what helps you feel safe—then shapes the session around you.

Modalities are blended when appropriate rather than applied as a formula. Your goals, comfort and response guide the session.
Focused, individualized work for pain, tension, stress and everyday recovery.
Calming, flowing massage designed to ease everyday tension, settle the nervous system and give you space to fully unwind.
Focused, responsive pressure for deeper layers of muscular tension—always adjusted to your comfort rather than treating intensity as the goal.
A movement-informed approach to areas of restriction and the patterns connecting them.
Rhythmic compression, assisted stretching and traditional cloth-supported techniques, trained through Elements Wellness and adapted comfortably to the massage table.
Instrument-assisted soft-tissue techniques used selectively to support mobility and recovery, with training completed through Professional Health Systems.
Therapeutic heat paired with massage to invite relaxation and ease persistent muscular tension, trained through the Academy of Massage and Wellness.
A restorative facial treatment combining lymphatic techniques, buccal massage and myofascial release of the face.
Focused work for the jaw, face, neck and scalp to ease muscular tension that may contribute to TMJ discomfort and associated tension headaches.
A deeply relaxing scalp and head treatment blending cleansing, massage and restorative care, available exclusively at Utopia Medispa.

04 · Intentional care
“Devotional” is how the work has been described—not as a treatment style, but as a quality of attention.
It means being present with the details: how pressure lands, where movement changes, when to work deeply and when the body needs space. The goal is for you to feel cared for, respected and more at home in your body.

“Jake is exceptionally skilled at his craft and provides effective and empathetic treatments. He has a gift of figuring out what your body needs. If possible, I recommend scheduling a 2 hour appointment. Do not hesitate to book with him.”
“Such a great massage! Jake made me feel very comfortable and took the time to focus on the areas that needed the most attention. I felt so relaxed afterwards. Great experience from start to finish—I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“Clean. Professional and so personable. I never want my sessions to be done. I am always asked how I am and what areas I feel need attention; my massage is tailored to fit my needs for the session and no massage is the same as a previous one. What remains a constant is the magic in the methods and touch. Always looking forward to my next session. Truly, ‘A Gift of Balance.’”
“The best massage I’ve had in ages. Took the time to chat first and asked a little body pain history. The atmosphere was soothing, gentle touch, HIGHLY recommend.”
